Who we are
ihya, pronounced “ihh-YAA,” is an Arabic word meaning revival, or a return to life, spirit, and vitality.
I started ihYA Studios because I wanted to create objects that feel meaningful. Not just things that serve a purpose, but pieces that carry a story, reflect where they come from, and become more personal with time.
I have always been drawn to objects made with care. Across many cultures, everyday items were created to last. They reflected identity, values, history, and the hands that made them. They were used, repaired, passed down, and given new meaning throughout their lives.
That way of making is at the heart of ihYA Studios.
Through leatherwork and design, I try to bring intention back into the objects we use every day. Every detail is considered, from the materials and construction to the symbols and stories behind each piece.
For me, craftsmanship is about more than making something beautiful. It is about making something that feels alive, something that can become part of a person’s life and stay with them for years.
ihYA Studios is my way of reviving the art, meaning, and care within everyday objects.
